Frequently Asked Questions

What is a track day?

A track day is an event allowing you to drive on track in your own car or a hired, track prepared car in a controlled, risk managed setting.

I don't have any track driving experience, is that a problem?

No, not at all. Track days are for everyone as long as you have a full road driving licence. Our driver coaches are there to help you to get comfortable and adjust to being on track. Track days are non-competitive events, and aimed to be a relaxed, welcoming setting for you to enjoy the thrill of driving.

How old do I need to be?

You need to be over the age of 18 with a full driving licence to participate in a track day. Passengers need to be at least 16 years old.

What do I need to bring?

On the day please bring your driving licence which will be inspected before you can be allowed out on track. If you have a helmet, bring it along, if not, you can hire one of ours. Please make sure to wear comfortable clothes and keep your arms and legs covered when in car, thin soled shoes are recommended.

What happens in the event of an incident?

As with any form of motorsport, track days do carry a degree of risk and unfortunately incidents do happen.

You will be fully briefed by the organisers of the track with regards to what happens in the eventuality of an incident. Every circuit has qualified marshals and a medical team with full medical support are always present on track in the event that someone has been injured.

Track days are there for you to enjoy with fellow like minded petrolheads. Give respect on track to each other and you will minimise the chance of anything going wrong and also drive within your limits. itʼs not a race, itʼs a fun, safe day on track.

What happens if it rains?

Unfortunately we don’t have any control over the weather. We will always work to make sure an event goes ahead, no matter the weather. If it rains during your day, please be patient and take it slow as you adjust to the change in grip level.

Should I insure my car for track use?

You don’t have to have your car insured on track and most road policies will not cover track use. However, should you wish to purchase specialist cover, there are a number of companies offering track day insurance, please get in touch if you would like to know more, and we will be happy to make an introduction.

Can you help me to improve my driving?

We can, we have a team of experienced driver coaches that are all ARDS (Association of Racing Driver Schools) registered. Each of our events will have driver coaching sessions available first come, first serve on the day, or click here to find out about one to one coaching.
